Our Mission

To provide a safe environment where one can experience Pilates under the guidance of a qualified instructor, in a friendly, and intimate setting. Anyone can do Pilates, regardless of age, ability, injuries, or physical limitations, therefore we offer several formats in which to practice Pilates.

Our Policies

To run a successful and satisfying class there are a few rules and policies we would like you to know about. If you have any questions about these please let us know and we can explain our reasoning behind them.

Facility Policies

  • Say hello and check in via your phone or our front end system

  • Please put your phone on airplane mode or silent so you do not disturb the class flow and others' workouts.

  • We want you to have fun in class, YELL, GROAN, LAUGH or even COMPLAIN, but please do not chat throughout the class.

  • You must wear socks and bring a towel to all classes, sticky socks are preferred for reformer and chair classes, regular socks for barre and mat classes. Dance shoes are allowed for barre classes but not required!

  • We like to keep our studio scent free for those with sensitivities. Please think before you spray

  • Keep everything clean, everyone will appreciate when you clean your equipment with the towels and spray provided.

Booking Policies

  • We require you to be 5 minutes early for class to allow for everyone to get a full hour of exercise in, 10 minutes late and you will forfeit that session from your punch pass or membership.

  • Payments for all classes and workshops must be made prior to the start time of the class.

  • We prefer if you preregister for the class to hold your spot and for our scheduling ease.

  • No transfers or refunds of memberships.

  • Classes may be cancelled if only 1-2 people are registered.

Cancellation Policies

  • We have a 14 hour cancellation policy for appointments and scheduled classes. If you cancel before the 14 hour window you will not be charged or loose your session. We prefer advanced registration for a class but you can always give us a call or look at our app (My Pilates Barre GP) to see if there are any spots available for a class with short notice. If you have to cancel late - within 14 hour window we would rather you let us know than no show as we might have a wait list for that class and someone else can take your spot. If you no show or do not cancel 14 hour prior to the class your session will be forfeited.

Medical Policies

  • A membership can only be suspended with a documented medical note for the maximum of 2 months on a 12 month membership. There are no suspensions granted for a 3 month membership

  • You must inform your instructor of all relevant medical conditions prior to class to ensure for safety of yourself and other participants

  • You must sign the Waiver and Get Active Questionnaire before participation in any class, session or assessment

  • You are responsible for your own health. If you feel faint, have pain or are uncomfortable with any exercise or time in class you must let your instructor know immediately for alterations of the exercise or removal from the class.
